Selfcare isn’t luxury, it’s a lifestyle, a nonstop ritual for growth. As a growing woman who has tapped into the endless advantages of making self care a priority and therefore ensuring Selfcare days are meticulously taken and noted.
What is self care? It’s a daily, weekly, monthly care checklist that one should unarguably carry on for various reasons. We may not have the same schedule, careers, lifestyle but one thing that should be noted is having days mapped out to ensure we feel, look, and continue to be our best.
As a woman basking in her femininity, Selfcare is like an investment that you immediately get the payoffs for. We may not all have the same idea of what type of Selfcare we need or the same budget in which these activities are to be carried out but one thing is for sure, starting the lifestyle makes room for more and growth.
Realistically speaking Selfcare doesn’t only have to defined down to the physical looks changes it gives but most importantly the mental & emotional care we give ourselves. A simply daily walk can put us in the best shapes physically and mentally. A little disconnect from the phone for some hours can bring us to pay more attention to our real world and not the one behind the screens.
Doing the things that make you feel yourself is self care. Self care is a deliberate choice to gift yourself things, places, experiences, events that recharge your whole human essence.
One of the most underrated and unmentioned type of Selfcare is personal development. Not often mentioned but little growth exercise will have from level 0-100. Taking little patience and practice on being a better woman character wise has so many advantages. You should get on with the program 😉
Here’s a little list self work assignment from me to you… do these to start the journey of knowing yourself enough and working on yourself.
- Make a list of 10 things you like about yourself.
- Make a list of things that relax you and keep you physically & mentally grounded.
- List 5 things you want to improve this year.
- Do you have a hobby or hobbies? If no, look into having and stay consistent.
- Meditate for at least 10-15 mins daily.
Now we have gotten to the part where I’m sure most women want to hear, something called “the girlie Selfcare routines” which includes getting our nails done or a good manicure, having our hair laid pretty & nice, shopping which we call “retail therapy”, traveling, getting deep massages and sauna treatments. Yes, yes, and yes all these are super fun and such a lively self care experience because it not only makes us feel better but we look the part too and that’s important.
How we look, our hygiene, our food & liquid consumption, skincare, trying something new, a full rest day, reading etc these are things that give us an instant glow up and make us feel cared for & rested.
Don’t go by the days without soaking yourself in the rituals of ensuring you have your self care days. As a woman you will feel softer, happier and healthier.
